autumn joy

inspiration

we went to the annie leibowitz exhibit today. it was both inspiring and discouraging. it made me want to be a real photograher, and also made me realize that i am not nearly good enough to do so. this is not a pity entry. promise. its just that she clearly has a talent few other can match. she has seen everything significant that has happened in the last 40 years its really quite astounding. her work is so good. but it was inspiring in the sense that it only made me more excited about taking photos and continuing to explore this hobby. hopefully some day i will be able to take a photography class and actually learn a few things. but in the meantime, this is a joy and a delight and I am immensely thankful for my camera.

this photo is steph in the exhibit. epic.

after the exhibit we went to a little french café and ate a three-course lunch for 7 euro. my main dish was very, very tasty. among the many things i will miss about berlin, the food is definitely very high up on the list. when i return home i will be so limited. here i can get anything at any time. alas.

the good news is that ive laid my winter jackets to rest. im only wearing the spring jacket, regardless of the temperature. though it has been quite decent lately.
