Planning Ahead

We were planning a rather long trip in September - from our mooring in Skipton to Ellesmere Port. There is a maritime museum there but also I lived there for about 4 years when I was little and remember it quite well.
However, we are thinking of leaving that trip till next Spring as it would take us a couple of months to get there and back.
We could do a shorter one - maybe to Hebden Bridge - beautiful wee place - or up the Lancaster Canal also pretty and no locks!
