The Day After the (Pretty Horrible) Night Before

Mum took Grandma home this morning, after having checked the police’s homepage that it was safe to go. Apparently, everyone who lives in this area was affected last night. Some were evacuated, like Grandma. Some were in lockdown, like us. And many people coming home from work weren’t able to return to their homes. Mum is so grateful we were all together and that no one was hurt.

We didn’t get much sleep, so it was a slow day today. Basic walkies with rock jumping. We avoided the area of the explosion, which was worked as a crime scene today. Mum bought a takeout chicken dish but had no appetite, so I got plenty of little pieces.

I want things back to normal ASAP!
