Messing about in boats
I finished a filthy job this morning – pressure-cleaning the patio – and earned Brownie points, so I relaxed by driving up to St Ives. My main aim was to discuss the need for an oil change in my car's transfer box and a change of steering wheel (so that I could have flappy paddles) at an independent garage, but I took the opportunity to tour St Ives and see some boats.
I had snapped some unprepossessing motor launches when this lovely wood and varnish vessel pushed out into the boatyard's marina.
Yes, I managed to catch the elbow in the wrong place, but I'm not being fussy today . . .
