FlowerFriday23_2019 Escallonia

This morning the promised warmth and sunshine arrived and is set to stay through the long Bank Holiday weekend.  There is still plenty in flower in the garden and so my FF shot is from there rather than the usual supermarket bunch.  Th bees were enjoying the sun and quite a few were working these small but very pretty escallonia blooms.

Today was also the day when Daughter #2, her partner and of course Violet, moved out.  They will now be around 15 minutes drive away, so a very doable distance when thinking of the complex childcare plans we have to have in place.  When they moved in with us in January, I was not sure how we'd all cope, thrown together in one space but now that they are going, I know that I shall miss them.  And of course Violet will still be a very regular visitor!
