Bother!

A frustrating day today.  Beautiful weather but I had to stay in all day waiting for a tree surgeon to come and fell a dead tree for us.  I filled in time by cutting the lawn and other odd jobs but when he hadn't come by 1600 I got on the phone to his home number.  His partner said he was just on the way to see someone but she would get him on his mobile and find out what was going on.  At 1730 he arrived full of apologies having missed me out by not scrolling down far enough on his electronic calendar.  He was also disappointed as it had been such good weather for his work.  He had finished his previous job before lunch and, thinking that was it for the day, had sent his assistant off early for the weekend while he went out to do some quotes.  He has promised to come back next Friday morning to make safe the dead tree.

I had been expecting my blip to be the tree felling operation!  In its place here is the garden patio at night - a good place for a G & T when things during the day have not gone to plan.
