" ' Mon The Sons "

aka " Come on the Sons"

Delighted to open the Herald Sports section to see a more or less full page spread on the Sons. Seems everyone is very surprised to see the team do so well in our last two games. From being the bottom of the league team they have become the giant slayers , beating 4th place Falkirk last Saturday ( a Christmas gift to the fans ) then beating top of the league Greenock Morton ( A New Year bonus for us ) on 2nd January. What a wonderful way to celebrate the Festive season with two very convincing wins after losing for most of the season !

Now tomorrow they meet 3rd place Dunfermline at home. Can they keep up this winning spree? The same question was asked of our new manager, Iain Muray who was a guest commentator on the TV Sports programme last night. As every pundit says, anything can happen in football and not all that long ago Adamson took over our team when they were losing badly and took them up into the 1st Division.Pperhaps this new manager can get us up from the bottom and keep us from going down .

Anyway I simply had to put this together for the three male fans here. John has proudly put the article safely away, the knitted scarf is one which I hope to have finished for our older grandson to wear tomorrow and the "Winnie the Pooh" is a piece of pottery which our younger grandson made while on holiday a few years ago. ( John has always enjoyed the stories by AA Milne ) and was really chuffed when our grandson presented this to him.

Large is worth a look to see what the journalist has to say.

Happy Saturday everyone.
