Feeling hot, hot, hot
We went to get Mr DA's new (to him) car this morning and, as is usual, spent a bit of time in a traffic queue on the A27. Fortunately we had this little dog to entertain us who kept jumping up and down, despite his fellow passenger's best efforts to stop him.
In Extras is a photo of Frank Turner who we went to see do an album launch gig last night in Kingston-upon-Thames. It shows how out of touch I am these days that yesterday his new album went straight into number 3 in the charts (the fourth time in a row he's done that, apparently) and I had no idea who he was! We met Tara and Amy there (who had invited us) and it was a great, intimate concert.
Mr DA and I have since been catching up with Mr Turner's back catalogue. Here's a great track from his new album, No Man's Land, a concept album about wonderful women, and here's his podcast on the story behind it about Sister Rosetta Tharpe, the 'godmother of rock and roll'. He's taken the trouble to do a podcast on every song on the album, which is pretty cool, I think.
