New Forest Ponies

Another day in the relaxing New Forest but busy everywhere as it's a bank holiday w/e (note to self: don't book to be away during a b/h w/e!) We were undecided whether to stay another night and return in the morning or just head for home. We tried to book a site near Newbury - not too far from home - but couldn't as everywhere was fully booked due to a carfest! So, instead of lingering around in Hampshire, we ended the day by just heading home. Extra of the beach at Lepe.

I spent a good chunk of the morning trying to sort a flight booking with BA - now on strike for the day we had booked to return home (and the day before). Not able to do this on line and not able to get through on the phone line. Frustration.
I need to be back on the 10th but looks like I can't manage that. To book another carrier at this stage would cost hundreds! Looks like we may be staying an extra day or two in Spain to return via BA. There's a chance the pilot strike situation may resolve, in which case booked flights can be reinstated. Time, energy and cost involved in all this doesn't do their cause any favours.

A good few days away. John much better now - almost normal!!
