Early start

Driving to the airport at 5.15 we missed the turning due to thick fog. We did a loop and had a second try. The Gold Car Rental was very cheap and if you keep your wits about you a bargain.

A smooth flight to touch down in the heat of midday. We drove back at to the house through brief rain to find things in good order and the garden looking healthy and not too dry.

All the driving in the UK had really taken it out of me and I slept a long siesta.
