Castle cat
4/1/2013
On Wednesday we finally managed a successful full group outing! We went first to the remains of Dolforwyn castle, perched at the top of a very steep (and muddy) hill. The views were spectacular, and the ruins themselves pretty impressive, but this little cat that followed us around for most of our visit stole the show for me. Littler G was quite smitten.
After Dolforwyn we also visited Montgomery, for more fine views and castle ruins, as well as a very lovely pub lunch. And - at last - some sunshine!
Unfortunately, all that climbing and clambering didn't really go down very well with my knees. I woke up on Thursday to find I could not bend my knee or walk without considerable pain. "Irritated ligaments", apparently. No lasting damage done, and feeling much better today, but it does mean there are no photos to share from the final full day of our holiday - I didn't really feel like taking a picture of the minor injury unit at the hospital in Welshpool, or of me feeling sorry for myself at the house while the others went exploring!
