MonoMonday: Wells Moat Boat Races

Today saw the annual Wells Moat Boat Races, organised by the local Lions club, which have become something of a Bank Hilday Monday tradition.

We had a quick swim this morning then met up with Sophie, Kate and her friend Bridie at the most by the Bishop's Palace to watch some of the races. It was very well attended despite (or because?) of the heat.

This is the moment when all four crews in this race tried to get round the halfway buoy in different directions at the same time; chaotic fun.

Got back in time to follow Yeovil's exciting game away at Dagenham & Redbridge which they managed to lose 3-2 to a goal in the 5th minute of added time. Things don't seem to be going our way at the moment.
