Farewell to Tamworth

We left off some ice cream at my cousin Jim's place, across the road from our Tamworth house.  He's certainly prepared for winter--this is not his only stash of firewood.  Our drive home to Northampton was routine, including a lunch of bagel sandwiches in Concord--it's becoming our usual stop on the trip. US Open tennis at home. Serena Williams beat Maria Sharapova, not surprisingly.  Quite surprisingly, Roger Federer has lost the first set to a qualifier from India. I'll probably be in bed before that match concludes.
