Another day another gorge

Moving on day. I’ve torn myself away from the lovely San Pelayo campsite and its pool with a view (extra pic). Only 20km over the Picos but 60km by road.

It’s still very humid and hot so was already mid afternoon when I set off on a bike/hike to Bulnes up another gorge, from where there’s a glimpse of the iconic Naranjo de Bulnes peak (main pic). You can also get an underground funicular ride up but that would be cheating, although the cold air emerging from the tunnel was tempting. The village, hamlet really, has no road access. But does have welcome refreshments.

Lots more goats today, one bunch in the road tunnel fighting over a piece of bread. And some fab onions at the greengrocers in Potes. So I’ve splurged on extra photos and text.
