On the way home

And so our trip to Iceland came to an end.  As we headed towards Copenhagen we flew along the south coast so we had an opportunity to see some areas we hadn't seen on this trip. This is a river draining from one of the glaciers and crossing what seemed to be a several-kilometre-wide beach, but may be a flat lava field, like the ones we walked over yesterday.
We'll have to go back and see another year!
