Warden church

Drove back from Secunda. It was very hot & Skrik (Mom's City Golf) doesn't have aircon.We had to drive slowly becuae the roads are horrendous; the potholes look more like sink holes. It's not something to be proud about.

The scenery was fantastic, but there were no safe places to stop & take photos.

We stopped in Warden to take photos of the church. It's the largest NG church in the Free State & Warden is one of the smallest towns in the province. Their streets leave much to be desired. Mom felt very sorry for Skrik going over the sharp stones that stick out of the "sinkplaatpad" (congregated iron road). It's really bad.

The church, as much of the buildings in the Eastern Free State, is built with sandstone.
