FLOWER POWER
Hubby took Mum home this morning. Then spent the day putting some wire across her garden gates. This is because where she lives there are very leafy trees, these trees separate a main road from the road going past my mother's place but in the autumn cum winter they shed a huge amount of leaves and all seem to gather in my mum's driveway. Council say they aren't responsible for clearing leaves away from her drive so we need to put something up that will help to reduce the amount that come in.
I have done as advised and mostly sat with my feet up - although not all the time. I've managed to do some more of my family tree research and am doing pretty well with. I come from a long line of agricultural labourers /farmers / carters on both sides. So no hidden millions likely to pop up for me. Very proud of my heritage thee are the people that worked very hard with very little but made Britain Great. I've also discovered world war I and II histories of both grandfathers and great uncles, some are amazing.
I've also started to catch up with a bit of photography. Confused on some of the requirements for the September Project with the EDPS Camera Club but am buddying up with a fellow student and Blipper next week as part of our "collaboration" side of the project.
The blip is part of the house flowers I've brought for myself, they may feature tomorrow as well as I am still putting my feet up - sort of.
On planning for our trip to Edinburgh next week we tried to get a parking space but all pre-booked spaces are already filled. I've tried getting a space in the Golf Club nearby who lets out spaces too but they're also full booked. Just have to hope that I can get one of the spaces that can't be booked. Don't know where we will park otherwise. Guess if there is nowhere Hubby will have to give up his seat and stay behind!!
My foot and leg are both so much better today and I can now put socks on - yeah no more cold feet!!!
Thanks for visiting my journal. Hope you are all well. Will catch up on your blips soon. See you all tomorrow.
