Red Grouse

Early trip - early blip. Got up before sunrise and drove up to the moorland to see if there was any sign of mountain hares, my January Mammal Challenge. Sadly, no spectacular sunrise, no mountains hares showing, but plenty of these guys and also the rewarding sight of 2 skeins of pink-footed geese overhead.
