I don't normally crawl around...

... to get a blip.

But today made a change. I had to get down on my knees, on the footpath at Harlow Carr Gardens, to photograph this painted lady butterfly resting on the small stones. There was a sudden rumble of footsteps as a young girl came running down the path; though she must have seen what I was doing, she clattered past and avoided crunching the butterfly by inches. Where was the responsible adult? on the adjacent path, scrolling on her phone!

I've included another shot of possibly the same butterfly, with its wings open, as an extra.
