Last Day

We were all quite sad to be leaving the boat today, we’ve had such a great week and it’s been lovely to spend some quality time with our extended family. It’s been so relaxing too as there’s not much to do except eat, drink, chat, walk and wind the locks up and down.
Surprisingly it didn’t take too long to clean the boat ready for handover, once we’d emptied the recycling of all the bottles.
Off the boat we are all feeling a bit wobbly as we’re so used to the motion. It’s great to be back in our bed though and the cats were delighted to see us and very affectionate.
