Global Village
We had a quiet morning. Stu took dad to the osteopath this morning as he was in a bit of a state. It was a successful appointment so hopefully he can go again while he is here!
We decided to try out 'Global Village' in the afternoon. It is like a huge, semi-permanent fair with over 40 huge marketplaces from different parts of the world. We had Turkish baked potatoes to eat. They looked a bit unusual to us, but we are very glad we had them as they were delicious! They were filled with traditional chilli sauce, pickles and salads. Oscar and Bailee eagerly shared granddads as well as a large box of popcorn and some watermelon. Mum and the twins also indulged in 'Turkish Special Icecream'. Once they actually got their icecreams (The server was a bit of a jocker), they were enjoyed by all!
Stu, our three children and I went for a ride on the train to break up the evening for the kid's. We then had a wander through a few more market places and sampled some Iranian food.
As you can see in the photo, Oscar and Bailee had a lot of fun riding on Stu and Grandad's shoulders around the market stalls!
