The best of the weather was in the morning when I was making and waiting for phone calls and acting as chauffeur. 

I escaped for an hour in the afternoon ....... good to be out even though it was cool and breezy. These two young female walkers had taken a short cut up a steep slope when there's a good path curving around it. At least I got a blip from their actions.

Earlier I noticed a 'bug' crawling across a mossy tree stump. Couldn't find it in my insect book but a search on the internet indicates that it's the larva of a harlequin ladybird.  Didn't know they had spread into our area. I've added it as an extra.
