Unexpectedly

Out early with pooch, a bracing wander under a bright blue sky, the air so clear it seemed sharp, the absence of rain a first since I got back from the the Alps.
Admin followed by gym followed by pool followed by play.

Then this evening off to the LibDems Hustings for the new prospective parliamentary candidate. A little wistful it's not me, but a lot thankful it isn't too. Interesting to see 'democracy' in action up close. Just 38 votes cast to decide who runs. Then the farce of a tie, and names drawn from the hat. Clearly there's much work to be done to improve engagement. And yes, for the third year running, I was the youngest person in the room.
