Champion champignons

A necessary Admin day today, which fitted well after a poor night's sleep.
But my did it look lovely out there. Eventually with two more articles written, a couple of dozen emails answered, téléphone calls made, satellite phone borrowed and some banking to do I decided a wander up at Champel was deserved.

As the flowers fade here now its the turn of the fungi. And wow. Just wow. What a collection.

I think the extra shows a Morrell (but it was so spectacularly odd that I'm happy for any id help) , some field mushrooms and puffballs, but the star of the show was this picture perfect Amanita muscaria, just waiting for a pixie to set up home.
