Holy Island and Bamburgh

Sun shining through the tent door. No sign of the owl that had been hunting in the woods nearby last night! A great day out, first across the causeway to Holy Island and then on to Bamburgh Castle. I had not been to either location since I was a wee bairn. More recent glimpses of these famous Northumbrian landmarks have been seen from the east coast main railway line.
