Follow the finger

Yesterday I blipped an old Forestry Commission sign. Today I’m blipping a sign of a different sort. This one is painted and located on the side of a stone building. It points up the drive as though to direct you into the courtyard behind the house - an entry point for horses and carts/carriages perhaps, may be a trade entrance for deliveries and collections? I will probably never know.
