FlowerFriday06_2019 Backlit

By the time I'd waded through today's to do list and thought about something for FF, the skies had darkened  and it had begun to rain.  Going into the garden was out so I've had to use cut flowers that are now over a week old (but still going strong) and use my trusty Ikea spotlight to side/back light them.
Now the sky has almost cleared and the rain stopped after minutes: no help whatsoever to St John's Pond at the top of our road.  If you look at my link you'll see it as we expect to.  Now, after 2 dry years, it has all but vanished with just a shallow patch of water in the middle, where a few ducks sat forlornly this morning.  I don't know if it has ever dried out so much before (the earliest photo I can find is 1908 when it was nicely full)  and I do hope that it can recover.
