The Old Road
After an early lunch, MrM drove us across the border to Kelso, for an afternoon concert by Viper Swing - gypsy jazz from the 1920-1940s. Members of Edinburgh Swing Dance Society danced as the band played, and afterwards there was a Swing Dance workshop, which MrM and I had signed up for. Great fun! Enjoyable concert too.
It was - bizarrely - part of Kelso Folk Festival and, while we were there, friends had been playing 'jigs and reels' at another venue. So we popped in to say hello, and also for some much-needed refreshment.
Home via Yetholm but, on the way, MrM drove us up and down the old road between England and Scotland. It's a dead-end, but affords some great views of the hills. The blip is travelling towards Scotland. The extra shows an old milestone beside the road.
