Like those scenes you see in films
I wonder, does your past
flash before your eyes
when your final day comes?

I'm not expecting any of you
to be able to tell me
and it's not that I want to know

any sooner than I need to.
In fact, I'd like a few
(well, lots)

more years please
before I groan or gasp
and breathe my last.
