Doddle

You'd think she might have
that Monday morning feeling
after a fortnight off
but she'll have got in early
(she's never late)
and will have no difficulty
in being able to concentrate
on the tasks that need ticking off.
In fact, after spending
two weeks with him
(Christmas, New Year, such a drag)
and having to tick him off
(he's so incompetent)
for fourteen days in a row
she'd say being at work,
where they don't
answer back or row,
is a doddle.
