Reflections...

...on the 50 years since I graduated from High School. Prior to the reunion we were each e-mailed a questionnaire to fill out that would be included in our reunion memory book--how does one sum up 50 years on one page? One of the questions asked was what we know now that we wished we would have known in High School. Reading the answers from my former classmates, they ran the gamut from downright funny to being so very poignant.  The hairstyles have changed, the clothes have changed, our weights have changed, but the sense of camaraderie we shared didn't.  Our class motto was "Let us not look back in anger, nor forward in fear, but around in awareness". (James Thurber)  Reading that motto I can't help but think that it's just as relevant now, if not more so, than it was 50 years ago.
