Euro Twinning

Politics apart, I am relieved to see that the Hampshire town of Romsey is not losing sight of its European twinning links, and has new town signs to prove it.
The market town has twinning agreements with Paimpol in Brittany, Battenberg in Germany and Treviglio in Italy.
Over the years, I have been a frequent visitor to Brittany although never actually been to Paimpol, while Battenberg celebrates the links with the Mountbatten family. Meanwhile, I can claim a pretty close affinity with Treviglio, a historic city on the outskirts of Milan. I love it and can’t wait to visit again, just to wander the streets, maybe sip a wine at the many local bars and meet up with family who live there.
