Election Fever

It has been a long day. 

The work day included the sudden requirement to write a speech for the Boss. He is giving it tomorrow. Very West Wing. 

The good news is he is allocated only 4 minutes. (In our modern, mature Parliament every speaker has a time limit and 8 minutes is the absolute maximum - when the speaker is leading a debate and introduces it. The Presiding Officer just switches off the microphone if the speaker refuses to stop...)

Then I had a meeting - more politics - in the evening. The small matter of selecting a candidate to stand in the Westminster election expected in November. 

Two weeks away from here on holiday is starting to look very welcome indeed. 

The Blip is the remnants of the evening meeting, after we had scraped the blood off the walls.
