Diary of an Edinburgher

Haircut needed

We missed Archie last night (and this morning), but went to collect him from his overnight holiday home at midday. We'd had a photo and news from his sitter. He seemed to have enjoyed himself on new walks, and he got rather stroppy with Mylo the Labrador when Mylo tried to push in to say hello to us.

He looked rather resigned when we came home, because I promised him a haircut - the newly fixed clippers had returned. However, when I went to switch them on, they didn’t work! Most annoying. I rang the people who 'fixed' it, and they asked me to send it back (free of charge). So Archie had a reprieve, and he's still very hairy, but happy.

I rang a painter, who came round to look at our front door with a view to repainting it. It's looking quite scruffy. This painter said he could do it on Friday, and he comes recommended, so we might as well go ahead.

Archie has been flat out snoozing since he came home. Mind you, that's what he usually does, so no change there. I wonder how much rest he had in his holiday house with big daft Mylo bouncing around. Though Fiona (Mylo's mum) said that they ignored each other most of the time, but ran around together on their walks. We'd be happy to use her again...
