In other news, I watched the News (very interesting in these history-making times) and I watched the Sigmoid Channel when I had my sigmoid colon scanned at Stroud hospital. There were no polyps or cancerous growths. I hadn't thought there would be any, but the government had offered me a scan when I reached the magical age of 55. Frankly, I'd have been more excited about a bus pass but no, it was an invasive bowel cancer scope. Beggars can't be choosers.
