A nature walk

After walking the dogs we had a coffee and later the two of us walked a track opposite to where we are staying. All very pleasant with the path bringing us back to the river of a couple days ago, this time John spotted a grass hopper. At the time I was chasing this little beauty at first thinking it was a black butterfly. We think, and happy to be corrected, it could be the beautiful demoiselle, a Male. The description found on the internet mentioned it’s butterfly movements, also that it could be found near a gravel bottomed river, another tick and apparently waiting for a female, not sure about that. It was a beauty, and good enough to flit near us. I had a couple shots with his wings open although too blurred to use. I am also pleased with the grasshopper shot in the extra. A great walk although we think too long for the two elderly dogs.

For some reason the sharpness I see in camera roll is lost once posted on here....
