My second chore for the day was to wrestle a really long and heavy water hose, drag it half way down to the street, were there're two large pots with small trees and planted flowers, and give the pots a good watering. Then I continued around the courtyard to give all the large pots water, draging that thing with me. It had a life of it's own!
During the break I showed one of my colleagues a photo I took yesterday, of one of the Dahlias, the one top left in yesterdays' blip. She thought it looked like Sauron had occupied the flower and said with giggle and laughter, that I ruin all the flowers for her, with my creepy shots. :D
When I showed my boss the Dahlia photo, she didn't react the same way and immediately wanted to make something of it... A photo on the wall, small cards for sale and small cards with the Greenhouse information (business card). We also taled about making Christmas cards from other photos. She also gave me the task to take more photos of the Dahlias before the frost. She wants me to take the photos with the camera belonging to the greenhouse and work on the photos on one of the computers at the greenhouse. It'll be difficult for me just to use jpeg, but I'm making a compromise... I'm using my camera too and those photos I'll process at home on my free time.
After the break my boss and I went to the small garden patch and I started to cut plants for their autumn rest. Some have seed pods, so I left them over the weekend, since we'll get a storm Saturday night and the seeds will spread nicely in the wind. I had a bumble bee as company in the garden patch, flying a bit slow now but making the most of the sunny day.
In the end of my work day, I bought some Dahlias with me home. This one in the photo, the 'Sauron' one and a red one. They were a bit shorter and not as fresh as the others on sale, lost a few petals, but I really wanted 'the eye' to come with me home. I couldn't bare thinking it would leave with a costumer.
As usually, thanks to Anni for hosting Flower Friday!
