Okavango

Today we ventured into the Okavango delta - 90 mins on sand roads then 90 mins being transported by Mokoro boats to the camp site. The boat journey was blissful through narrow channels with water lilies and papyrus around us. All the camping equipment came with us - tents, beds, mattresses, sleeping bags, toilet cabins, cooking stuff ... the works!

Beautiful site by a water hole where an elephant came into view during lunch.

Late afternoon bush walk for 3 hours then dinner.

Fell asleep to bright stars, full moon and the sounds of buffalo and elephant nearby. Lion roared in the night.
