Busy Day

Spent the morning sorting out the packing as we leave tomorrow
Then off to the Gearrannan Black Houses.  Extremely picturesque and interesting. Four of the houses are holiday rentals, lovely idea but I don't think I could cope with all the visiting tourists. The demonstration houses fascinated me, especially the weaving loom, a Hattersley built in my old neck of the woods, Keighley. The smell of burning peat is delicious! The guide told us to make the most of today as there is a weather front moving in.  Well, he wasn't wrong!  You can see in the last two extras what has happened. Absolutely lashing down and the wind howling. We've been contacted by CalMac to say that our ferry tomorrow is cancelled. Oh NO!  There is someone booked into the cottage so we can't stay on here. We have spent ages trying to find somewhere to stay tomorrow. Needless to say everywhere is full.  Almost biblical, but we have found a small B&B about 70 miles away, thank goodness. Just hope we'll be able to sail on Sunday. Fingers crossed.
Probably won't be able to post anything tomorrow, or indeeed till we get to South Uist. Such fun
