Penmaenpool Toll Bridge

Well I am sticking to my resolution to make at least one image per week for a blip! Had a fantastic night away at a little hotel called the Cross Foxes near Dolgellau in South Snowdonia, Wales.

Before setting back for home today we had a little wander with the camera. I took this to play with the in-camera HDR function and quite pleased with the result.

The wooden toll bridge at Penmaenpool was built in 1879 and is grade II listed. It crosses the River Mawddach with the George III Inn at its foot on the south side of the river. It is single width and cars cross for a fee of sixty British Pennies.

Beautiful part of the country and worth a visit.
