Woke this morning at 5 as the storm hit us again. And what a show they put out for us. It was lightning non stop for nearly two hours. Just amazing. I was reading some comments over the internet of the show and local people were saying things like "never seen anything like this" or "is this what apocalypse looks like". Even in the Spanish standards this was not normal and we do get pretty amazing thunders here every autumn.
So the ground was wet again for our morning walk. Luckily it was very windy so the streets dried quite fast. The campos are puddled all over. And some areas are still flooded and in catastrophic state. City of Orihuela is an island now.
I've spent most of the day painting mandalas and other patterns on tops and dresses. I'm addicted to it now. Too bad they need at least 24 hours to dry, so the whole upstairs is filled with piles of drying designs. You can see some of the designs here: https://www.instagram.com/vhgalacant/
I also took a walk around the neighborhood and this time I didn't get soaked even if it was a very grey day until near sunset.
In the picture one of the lightning and then our evening landscape as the sun is setting. Huge difference in scenery.
