Great Crested Grebe

To Knutsford, for some wallpaper samples and little tins of paint. We've some decorating in mind.

Having got some samples to try out, we walked into Tatton Park. A thoroughly grey day, although the drizzle had ceased. Quite mild though. We did a good circuit. All seemed quiet.

Not the best day for photography. I quite liked this pic, heavily cropped as it is so not the greatest quality. The grebe has lost the best of its lovely summer plumage, but hasn't yet moved into its winter look. Like we humans, it's uncertain what to wear at the moment !
