Riding the marches.......

A lot of rain through the night so not baling straw today.
Took advantage of the chance to go down the road and feed the cattle.
Back home and then off into Edinburgh to watch the riding of the matches with Littlemiss and Mrs F. Some of the school pipe band were leading the march from Holyrood up the high street. The things that made me smile were the 2 council road sweepers following the horses to sweep up the horse shit and the pair of townie jakies holding their hoodies over their noses and moaning about the smell of said horse shit .
Grabbed a quick bite to eat before heading home.
To make up for my afternoon away I managed to get another load of barley dried by 9pm. Don’t feel so guilty now !
