The Burma Road
Without the chance of skiing action today (due to the thaw), I left the hotel early and trudged through the dark south to Lynwilg and then up the magnificent Burma Road up to 690m. I headed up to the summit of Geal Charn Mor and took in the wide view of Speyside below me. The remaining snow patches looked like what you'd normally see in March, not early January.
To the north, I marvelled at the remote wilderness of the Monadhliath, until I spotted a huge wind farm spinning away in front of Ben Wyvis.
Low light, and overcast hence a monochrome shot of some isolated Scots Pine on Creag Ghleannain. Sgorr Gaoith above Glen Feshie behind.
