Sunday service
The kitchen at Galvin's Bistrot de luxe, Baker Street.
After more intensive Lego-ing this morning we took the bus up park lane to Marble Arch and then walked (scooted in the case of Monsieur) for Sunday Lunch at my favourite noshery. We were their first customers (toph was with us for the first time here, quite the big man now he's almost 3, so we were eating early) and so were able to watch the restaurant fill up. One of the things I love about this place is that everything is always so calm and easy out front while behind the scenes they turn out dish after dish at breakneck speed.
Full of good cheer we went to the final day of Winter Wonderland, the German market/funfair in Hyde Park. After walking past Speakers' corner (one very shouty man's subject appeared to be that the UK doesn't allow free speech which seemed a little incongruous with his location & method of delivery) a very nice chap (Father Christmas in disguise perhaps?) who was leaving early gave us his remaining tickets. 2 merry go round rides and a little train trip round 'Santaland' meant toph saw the twelfth day of Christmas off in fine style. A lovely end to a grand weekend.
