peregrine fest

An overdue trip this morning to see my favourite urban peregrines. I wasn't disappointed the female flew by and the blip was in the bag. She landed on one of the mill shelves and was later joined by the male and one of this years three juveniles. It is thought that the other 2 are long gone to find their own patch but this one occasionally reappears for some free food from mom and dad. Then a suprise, the 3 birds, seen together in extra, looked skywards in unison. It was another adult peregrine passing over, also in extra, he circled the mill a couple of times taking a look but was seen on his way when the resident male flew to the mills highest turret and let out a continuous warning screech.

Lunch was had with all of my old work team, it was great to see them all again but it was a reminder just how short lunch breaks are when you are working.
