If you can't beat them...

Red Kite (Milvus milvus)

Our first job was finding a seller of Calor gas to replace the now empty cylinder.  The first suggest places didn't sell Calor but fortunately he directed us to a garage which did.  We then headed across the Moray Firth on the bridge to North Kessock then we turned to head along the black isle.  By now it was lunch time (we are slow starters) so a convenient lay-by gave us a useful stop for lunch and a break.

Then on to Fortrose and Chanonrypoint where we hoped to see Dolphins.  No luck this time though we had a pleasant couple of hours sitting in the sun watching a cloud of Terns fishing just off shore.  On our way back to the site we stopped at a car park overlooking Munlochy bay.  As we stopped I spotted a Red kite flying level with the van windows.  I scrambled for my camera but it was drifting away. I took a few hopeful shots.

So after a cuppa we headed back to the site and a quiet evening ready to head north again in the morning.
