Magnolia Figo

Previously known as Michelia figo, now reclassified as Magnolia figo, this tree is tucked away in a corner of our garden. I used a Facebook group “Plant Indentification New Zealand” to find out the name of this lovely flower. Also called a Port Wine Magnolia.
I have been busy attending meetings today in support of a friend who is standing for Council in upcoming Local Government Elections. An interesting although busy day.
