Happy Birthday Bella May!

It's Bella's Birthday today she is 3 years old - according to her passport anyway. With rescue dogs you can never be certain of the actual birth date.
She got a new bright red collar, some treats and at the pet shop the other they gave us a frisbee - for free - to give her on the day.
Although I hate plastic toys I couldn't refuse their kindness and it is a very good quality one.

This morning we went to the Climate Change protest outside the Town Hall in Skipton. It was a good turn out of schoolkids as well as adults. The speaker was very good and people were invited to get up on the bench to have their say.
There were lots of them talking about plastic, fossil fuel and renewable energy and the Amazon but no one mentioned the impact of meat production on the planet.
So I got up their and gave them my tuppence worth! There are a lot of meat eaters in Yorkshire so I definitely felt I was in a minority. But you can't talk about reducing plastic, using solar and wind power, using less vehicle fuel and yet ignore the massive impact of meat production. This is why the farmers are burning the Amazon - to have more land for cattle and soya bean crops to feed all the livestock! I just pointed this out and people to consider going vegan for a day and hopefully they would like it.

Anyway- I'm off my soap box now!

After that we took Bella to Kibble Dog Cafe for a birthday biscuit - it was banana and peanut butter.

She's a happy girl!
