A little progress

Apologies for another allotment photo but I wanted to record the progress I made this afternoon clearing my new plot. So far I have roughly strimmed the grass and nettles and started to prune the blackberries. I’ve laid some weed suppressant matting and am in the process of pulling up the blue matting which weeds have grown right through. It feels good to have made a start at making this plot my own. It is due to rain tomorrow so I am not sure if I will be able to visit the plot to do any work.

In other news, Merlin seems to have kennel cough. He isn’t coughing but his chest sounds really congested and gurgling. We are keeping him warm and rested and will see how he gets on tomorrow. He seemed very tired this morning but is himself this evening. Poor boy, I wish he could tell us more clearly about how he is feeling.
